Space physics : / chemistry too *************** .revision 01 There are lot of features which must be taken into consideration when implementing "real" space envi. For example : gravitation , planet's slap forces , elmag field (radiation) , light distortion (for larger distances) , movement rules (no natural breaking force, inertia, etc. ), star physics - lot of complex things (athmosphere , thermonuclear reactions, etc.) , star trajectories and rotation ! (binary and multiple systems make things even more complex!) spectral visibility - space is not black as we seen it ! , so ship may have mounted spectral analyzer and stuff ! even on the surface/ within atmosphere aren't things so easy : - atmosphere reacts with motors (pure chemistry) - atmosphere filters visible and other spectrum , depends on it's contents !!!! - sometimes all types of disasters may happen on planets and they have large effects on planet as a whole (some supplies run out of supply -> large demand ,etc.) : floods , earthquakes , storms (elmag,sand,water,etc. ....), war , etc .... "Age of space" time: ******************* Well, game must be set in near future (I think that 200 years from now should be enough, but who knows ?) because few things are needed for space game. Inventions should appear thru game time , but most of them should be available soon after start (but not at all systems).
