Common ship gadgets : (without include personal gadgets yet) ********************* .revision 02 - most of gadgets have sub parameters like quality and other specification CLASS ABC - essentials - radiation shield - needed for every ship, need to be refreshed time to time - atmospheric shield - allows ship to descend into planet surface safely - note : planets' atmospheres vary , so contact dealer for details about shield endurance parameters , however basic shield should enough for at least all SOL planets. - rubbish catcher - wasting rubbish into space is not allowed, this gadget will save you from costly penalties , because most fuel creates some amount of rubbish. CLASS D - defensive - EMP shocker - used to create electric blast/field around ship, can be used against common missiles - EM shield system - uses energy to deplete particles from colliding with ship's hull , use much energy , may create large disruption too (some scientific stuff may be disabled by that, some ship scanners can be also disabled for that moment) - HULL repair system - use various material (depending on model and on the type of ship) to repair damaged hull - common materials : metal alloys - note: ship's hull get very little damages over time which are created by space dust (=rare particle collisions) or even hyperspace jumps (=more particle collisions) CLASS E - exploration & space travelling - navigation computer - contains database of systems, active radar and stuff - particle/object analyzer - allows more detail description of tracked item - ecospheric insulated chamber - can be used to oxygen generation with suply of sunshine (good old photosynthesis), some modern types can also give you the basic material which can be mixed to create basic syntetic food, comes handy in long exploration voyage. - auto-pilot - well,it does a lot of stuff , best works when connected to navigation computer CLASS C - collectives - atomic collector - catch particles from space dust , can create fuel (mostly alternative fuel (medium class) or low class hydrogen fuel) - tractor beam - can catch some cargo large enough to be tracked with navigation computer - fuel scoop & cargo scoop (sold separately) - used to create fuel or cargo from atmosphere (hydrogen atm. -> hydrogen fuel) CLASS E - emergency - energy to fuel convertor - energy to fuel jump capacitor - allow short jumps with energy fuel , need e2f convertor - life function guardian - hybernate crew and jump or auto-pilot to nearest registered sytem to refresh oxygen or life-essential things - escape capsule - many types (for larger crews and stuff) - escape ship capsule - contain whole packed ship ! so you can fly away fast or try to shoot out the bastards that attacked you. CLASS U - uncommon / "unknown" gadgets (also noted as Xu) - plasmatic transport chamber - can hold up to 1 tonne of plasmtic material guarded well enough to perform fast-jump ! :-)) - radioactive convertor - create materials/energy from radioactive materials, these materials have very low radiation ! - ship code changer - can change code of ship or delete it completely, but remember some systems don't welcome unregistered ships. - ship masker - ever wanted to be invisible - well few levels of invisibility can be purchased - from electrical - you cannot be seen on most radars/scanners , to super optical filtering, so you look like particle cloud (transparent , but not perfect : edges can be still recognized as ship) CLASS W - weaponry - missile slots - used even for comm. missiles CLASS X - extras - additional supply quarters - additional live quarters - additional weaponry slot (limited amount can be installed on ship, uninstallation cost a lot) - additional ship system slot (same as weaponry slot) CLASS X.F - factory extras - rare items , but can turn your big cruising ship into factory or more stand-alone system ! (but often requies minimum ship free space/load at least of 1000 tonnes !) (largest ship ever built have about 4978 free after full supply load with medium gadgets installed - FreeSpacer II.X Alpha Custom model 82 , made before centuries ! - this ship is said to be roaming around somewhere !!!!)
